Keto Swedish Meatballs Recipe Ingredients

  • Meatballs Ingredients:
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 small Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Almond Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper ground
  • ¼ teaspoon Allspice
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • Cream Sauce Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon Salted Butter
  • 1 cup Beef Stock
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper ground
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg ground
  • ½ teaspoon Xanthan Gum
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley chopped

Keto Swedish Meatballs Recipe Instructions

  1. Place all the meatballs ingredients, except the oil, into a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  2. Roll into balls that are about 2 tablespoons worth of mixture (you can use a cookie scoop to make this step easier). We got 24 meatballs.
  3. Place a cast-iron skillet over high heat and add the oil.
  4. Saute the meatballs, adding a few at a time to the skillet, to avoid overcrowding. Turn the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through. Spoon onto a plate.
  5. Keep the skillet on the heat, including all the little bits left by the meatballs in the pan.
  6. Add the butter, then once melted add the beef stock, cream, mustard powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Whisk together.
  7. Bring to a simmer then whisk in the xanthan gum. Continue to simmer until thick, about 8-12 minutes.
  8. Add the meatballs back in and simmer for about 3 minutes, until the meatballs are hot.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley.
  10. Serve with Buttery Cauliflower Mash and enjoy!

How to Properly Store Beef

How long can cooked beef be stored in a refrigerator or freezer?

That relies upon several conditions, but beef, once cooked, should be refrigerated within 2 hours. To maximize the shelf life of cooked beef for protection and exceptional quality, refrigerate the beef in shallow bins or wrap it tightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. The cooked beef will remain for three to five days in the fridge.

To further increase the shelf life of cooked beef, freeze it. Store the cooked beef in plastic storage bins or heavy ziplock freezer bags, or wrap tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil or freezer wrap.

How long does cooked beef remain withinside the freezer?

Properly stored, it'll preserve the quality of the beef for approximately two to six months; however, it will continue to be edible past that time.
The freezer time given is for the best quality of the meat. Cooked beef that is continuously frozen will preserve indefinitely; however, longer storage runs the risk of potential freezer burn.

For the best freezer results, look at getting a vacuum sealer like this one: Get a Vacuum Sealer Here on Amazon

How long does cooked beef remain after being frozen and thawed?

Cooked beef that properly thaws out in the refrigerator will be edible for three to five days. Cooked beef thawed in the microwave or in bloodless has no other shelf life and should be consumed immediately.

How long does cooked beef store at room temperature?

Bacteria develop hastily at temperatures between 40°F and 140°F; cooked beef must be discarded if left out for more than two hours at improper temperatures.

How to know if a cooked beef has good bad?

The most common manner is to smell and examine the beef. Most symptoms of bad beef include:

  • bitter scent
  • slimy texture
  • white discoloration
